Ponies and Kids is a growing nonprofit that looks to teach our community’s youth how to “live, love, and grow with horses.” It is our belief that all youth in today’s society can benefit from the structure, discipline, and stability that horses provide. We help students become leaders through their experiences at the barn. At Ponies and Kids (PAK), we watch our students learn respect, empathy, and a good work ethic during their time spent at our barn.
Our vision is to provide an environment where children and young adults can not only “horse around” but also safely learn about horses. We hope to promote self-worth and encourage physical activity, good work ethic and great sportsmanship. We assist youth and young adults who, while having the desire to interact with horses, find the cost prohibitive. We will encourage and teach work ethic, responsibility and the economics of horses. Lastly, we will provide an avenue for students to improve their grades, thus gaining self-confidence.
