Our Vision

Provide an environment where children and young adults can not only “horse around” but also safely learn about horses. Promote self-worth and encourage physical activity, good work ethic and great sportsmanship. Assist youth and young adults who, while having the desire to interact with horses, find the cost prohibitive. Encourage and teach work ethic, responsibility and the economics of horses. Provide an avenue for students to improve their grades, thus gaining self-confidence.

Mission Statement

Providing educational and therapeutic animal-assisted activities such as therapeutic horseback riding, animal care and pet encounter therapy to children and adults with physical, learning, cognitive or emotional disabilities.

Serving as an emergency rescue facility for horses in need of rescue.

Partnering with other non–profit organizations, such as the Indiana Horse Council, to help expose and educate broader populations of the public to the health and other benefits of equine activities.

Help Us Build an Indoor Arena! - Sunday, April 21, 2013

Fall is coming. All summer, we've been helping our Ponies and Kids superstars learn and grow around horses. We hate to have to break for all the cold months - and with an indoor riding arena we won't need to! We've put together this video highlighting all the benefits of Ponies and Kids, and why continuous lessons through the winter are important.

Help PAK Keep a Very Special Horse! - Sunday, April 21, 2013

Ponies and Kids was given a beautiful horse named Luna on a 1-year free lease. We've all grown to love her; Rachel Bacon has ridden her since this horse first came to PAK, and it has been phenomenal to watch them learn and grow as a team. We would love to make Luna a permanent PAK horse!  We need just $800 to make her a permanent part of PAK. This horse has made friends of all of us, especially Rachel, who recently took Luna into the 4H Fair and won 2 jumping classes on her!  Rachel says it best herself: "Losing Luna would be losing my motivation, my drive, and my passion. The bond that we have built is like no other I've ever had and would be irreplaceable. Your donation would be greatly appreciated."

Please consider contributing to this cause. We are a 501c3 charitable non-profit, so any donation you make is tax deductible.
